CLASSIC COLLECTION

This collection includes the wines that Rietvallei Estate is most known for.

The range was started by Kobus’ father Johnny in 1976 with the release of the Rietvallei Estate Red Muscadel. Followed by a barrel fermented Chardonnay in 1987 and only 15 years later, in 2002, the range was expanded with the addition of a Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc.

These four wines remain the core and focus of all the wines produced on the estate. The Chenin Blanc and Shiraz followed a couple of years later. Each wine in this collection was carefully selected and crafted to claim their special place in the market. These wines are certified estate wines, meaning that it is grown, made, matured and bottled on the estate.

BURGER FAMILY WINES

The aspiration of the Burger Family Vineyards range was to introduce an easy-drinking, more reasonably-priced selection of wines to the consumer who seeks a greater variety of price-points and wine styles.

As with our Rietvallei range, all the grapes used in this range are grown on the Rietvallei Estate. These wines offer a true reflection of our unique pockets of diverse terroir.
